in cali you'll get affordable insurance (less than $100 a month) if you have a good driving record period. you're good, get that M3.

In other words, if you have a 1995 Honda Civic as a DD and an Aston Martin as a weekend car, they won't take you because they won't believe you'd ever actually drive the Honda.
I own a Honda Pilot and a E38 740iL, so showing them a daily driver shouldn't be a problem. I will contact them in a month or two and keep you all updated about the details.

How much do you pay?

Moreover, is the new vehicle's rate is cheaper than used's insurance rate?

Thanks.

This entire thread is really just for illustrative entertainment as what other people pay contains soooo many variables that make up the policy premium. Insurance can vary very much from zip code to zip code as well as garage locations, age, car etc. In ME insurance is def a lot cheaper than CA
Agreed. Its cheaper than Oregon, Washington, Alaska, California and Hawaii. lol

You should consider your credit history too. Almost all insurance companies use it heavily for setting rates. Worse credit history=higher premiums.

Having said that I pay $400/6 months for my '09 E90 M3 with Geico.

33 yo, married, clean record, great credit, chicago suburbs, 1000 coll deductible, $500 comp dectuctible, 100/300 bi, retal re, roadside.

Also insure '10 odyssey, same coverage for my wife (33 yo) for $350 on the same policy.

My insurance went from $400 to $1200 a year when I bought my E92 M3.

23 years old, clean record, multi car discount

About $67 more a month. I think thats pretty good.
