Since there is not going to be a CSL why not a clubsport?
Since the M3 csl is not goin to work for BMW in this market ,or whatever the accountants are saying, how about a stripped options club sport M3 at a slightly lower price?
Single hump, sports edc 10 mm lower all round, thicker anti roll bars, Mdrive button, flame retardant cloth front buckets (recaro RS?) and thinner rear seats, radio/cd with light front speakers to listen to in traffic, lightweight 18/19s with semislicks, carbon roof, lightweight steel exhaust, upgraded intake(plastic not carbon). manual or intelligent dct(no shift speeds requird only man or auto). all settings set to max attack (no sports or stupid power button) same price as std M3 since no carbon bits or nav or any really expensive extras? |

A more driver oriented version without the luxuries that come loaded into the UK model would make perfect sense to me and scoop up those who don't like the E92.

WAYYY to early for talk of any Special Editions. That type of stuff usually comes around the last half of the model's 7 years life-cycle.

Fair enough.. its a car for those that prefer the gt3 to the normal carrera c2s, or the clk 63 black to the normal clk 63. The guys that want a car with minimal compromises to the ultimate driving experience The best part is that it will be cheaper or the same price coz its stripped with relatively cheaper upgrades(steel exhaust, cloth buckets, plastic intake) and does not use any luxuries with the exception of airbags to ensure safety and open to all markets.
