Garage Wall Mounting Exhaust

I got an Akrapovic exhaust and kept my oem exhaust and x-pipe in case I need to put it back on. I don't have a huge garage and I was looking for clever ways to store the big chunk of metal I have right now.

I was wondering if anyone had hung / wall mounted their oem exhaust, if so can you post a picture so I can see what you did?

Thanks

I don't have this problem, however, if I needed to store it I would purchase a Tire Rack from TireRack here go to This Link you can use it then secure it and at the same time store some tires.

Or get a nice strong 2 shelf angles from your hardware store and mount it yourself on the wall then secure it so it will not slip off and hurt someone.

Another way would be to purchase the shelf that fits under the garage door (when the door is closed people store things under the ceiling you know when the garage door is open it is kind a dead *******.

I am sure you will find a good solution. Good luck.

Go to Home Depot, they sell Hooks of different shapes and sizes that screw in to 2x4 behind dry wall. They are strong enough to hold up exhaust.

Example:

thanks guys for the sugesstions, keep em coming, looking for pictures before I start making holes.

Also, I do have a tire rack from tire rack to hold my track wheels, but I am confused on how I would also put the exhaust on it?

If an earthquake hits, I'm guessing you'll have bigger problems to worry about than crap on the wall falling on your car.

See link below...quite cheap too...holds 220lbs...but make sure you screw into stud backing...that exhaust isnt going anywhere,...very sturdy...pulled on both sides fairly hard and it didnt budge....I originally bought mine from Griots Garage but they dont carry the same ones anywhere...but it looks like the one below.

I have a one car garage and have it resting right up against the wall, tips down (sitting on cardboard and bubble wrap). So damn heavy (!) its pretty stable as is. If I get around to it I will hang it up.
