Extended Warranty and Maintenance on 2008 M3

I am not sure if anyone has purchased this yet or if it is even available, but if someone could post their cost for extended maintenance and warranty seperately, that would be great. This is affecting my decision to purchase the car.

Extended warranty through BMW (same as CPO) to 6 years/100k miles is $4,875 ($50 deductible). It can be purchased anytime before original warranty expiration. I don't have a cost on maintenance yet.

Are you sure about the $5K cost to extend warranty...seems really high? I called BMW NA and they stated dealers have cost of this and I have not shopped around but thought figure was more like $3K in talking with my dealer....of course he was simply guessing this so you may be right

That's what my CA gave me; same as the M5, I beleive. Verify with another dealer, though. The price is potentially negotiable with the dealers, BTW.

The same extended warranty coverage I bought for my current e46 M3 back in 2006 was only $1500. I guess the finance manager at my CA cut me a really good deal then.

That was a good deal indeed. I think the e92 M3 deal is a bad one. Almost ~$5k for just warranty coverage. I'm more interested in a potential service extension (if I keep the car longer than 4 years, which is unlikely). Let's see how much that'll cost.
