We only use one pulley because we actually designed our own belt to make up for the size difference . Our pulley kits also comes with an extra belt just in case.

If you have any questions please shoot me a Pm for a quick reply.

I have the MS pulley and track car 1-2 times a month. Engine temps are about the same as before and AC feels just as cold. And I live in Texas!

We tracked ours extensively here before going the S/C route. Happy as well!

Quantitative Pulley Comparison

Frustrated with the lack of hard data on the various pulley offerings and following Turner1's idea I decided to start to put this together. Please update values/answers and repost the entire section with your updates. Please screen grab your updated spreadsheet as well (as I did here below). The google docs spreadsheet should save your updates to the actual spreadsheet in real time.

Link to Edit

PS: I realize I have put all of the easy information together here. The sizes of the pulleys are key here.

PSS: For the single pulley systems all of the %'s should be the same and will just be the size ratio of the new pulley diameter / OEM pulley diameter. I suggest we all measure consistently at the peaks of the aluminum ribs on the pulleys. The troughs might be technically a bit more accurate but likely too difficult to measure accurately. Either way a caliper is going to be required. Obviously do not measure the diameters on the inner or outer edges of the pulley as they are larger than the part actually driving the belt. For the two pulley systems we will obviously need the diameters of both OEM and replacement pulleys. I am happy to do the math if anyone can provide all the diameters. I am also happy to take single diameter values and hold them until we get the other corresponding diameter to have the ratio - just PM me ANY diameters you have!

PSSS: I am willing to bet that in some cases the claimed power gains will not be consistent with the measured sizes. This will be a great vendor honesty test!

Evosport not worthy?

Any particular reason why you guys excluded Evosport from the comparison?

Evosport FTW!

Come on vendors, contribute to the forum, help drive some sales based on real product information! As anyone can surmise, the likelihood of any of us consumers having access to even one pulley to measure is very small, let alone multiple brands of pulleys.

Hey Swamp, for some reason I couldn't edit your spread sheet. However, I have the AFE and there is 2 belts. No issues and no over heating. Also, not on my car but I have seen 11 rwhp from the AFE pulley.

Small revision required to permissions. It should be GTG now. Thanks.

It would be really nice if completed. Unfortunately we are obviously struggling to get any of the most critical specifications across the supplier lineup. Hopefully some manufacturers (doubtful) or resellers will provide some data.

Trying to measure the same distance as Andrew, the stock pulley appears to be 120mm. The new pulley easily fits inside the factory pulley.
I installed my AA pulley today and the car feels not only more responsive, more smoother as well. Especially in the low to mid RPMs. No before and after dynos because its still not going to be the fastest car around. I love that it came with an extra belt too!
