Service Recommondations?
I will be picking up my 2012 E92 at the Performance Center in mid Feb (yes, the wait has been unbearable). Got the car through Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW and I am now thinking about where to take it locally for warranty service (I live in Potomac). One thing I am a little concerned about is not getting good customer service (e.g., not getting a loaner, responsiveness) because I didn't buy my car there. I would appreciate hearing about your experience as well.

Despite others against BMW of Fairfax, I still go there. However when I do, I only deal with two service advisors and certain techs that I know. So far i've been taken care of without issue.
Others may recommend BMW of Alexandria, VA which still a fairly new facility (~a year or so), Tischer BMW in Silver Spring, MD, or BMW of Sterling, VA. I'm sure others will chime in which service advisers they deal with and recommend.

VOB is updating their look, I'm not too familiar with their service department. But the sales department, well they are terrible. There is this horrible I'm better than you feeling when you walk in the door... |

Tischer/BMW of Silver Spring. I buy my cars from VOB but hate service there. I've haven't been back since they opened up their new facility.

I'll tell you that I was hesitant to bring my m3 to fairfax for the 1200 mile service because of all the horror stories, but everything was done properly. My 6speed got the oil, diff, and tranny fluids changed no problem.

Went to BMW of Rockville today for my first 1200 mile service. The Cohen family bought out VOB on March 1 and changed the name. They own BMW of Towson, BMW of Bel Air, Porsche of Towson and a Mini dealership. All I can say is great experience all around. Very responsive, they had plenty of BMW loaners, wifi, flat screen tv, drinks and food.

I go to Northwest BMW in Baltimore where I bought the car. The tech, Woody, is the only person I trust with my car. He's a good guy, knows his stuff, he's very careful, and he has an E90 M3 of his own.
It's a bit far away but worth it to me. |

since you're up there, use Tischer. I've had positive experience for both free and paid service at Alexandria, and I've gotten a loaner almost 100% of the time.
I've had good experience at Sterling as well, but have never ever been able to get a loaner there. |

I visited Tischer today because I got a low oil light. They were very friendly, very willing to help, and it was a very nice facility. They topped it off right there and I was out in 10 minutes.
