I believe the end of manufacturing it is going to be something like May or June 2013.

It's even harder to order now with dealers having allowed allocations or something like that. I looked around in my area for stock M3s with the colors I want and I shopped for best price and I got my dream car. Good luck.

Agreed. The salesperson who helped me at my (fairly large volume) dealership told me that I had one of their last allocations, and I ordered my car in October 2012. If you want one, you better move quick . . .

Once the allocations are gone they are gone. If you are interested in getting a new e9xM now is the time to get the ball rolling

they're a dime a dozen on the used car market. unless you really must have a brand new car, there will be plenty of E90 m3 for purchase in good shape up until 2023 or so. That's when even the newest car will be at least 10 years old, and finding a car in good shape with low mileage will be more difficult. Of course by then we'd probably be driving cars that run on solar power and take off vertically and "fly" to their destination instead

That's what all of the Hollywood movies keep telling us anyway. Probably more like we'll all be forced into the 20th generation of the Prius by government regulations/mandates "for the sake of the planet".
