launch control rpm

Ok guys i understand that you can adjust lc rpm with cruise control lever but i cannot for the life of me get it to adjust.

I have the flag up and then start pushing pulling and moving the lever in every direction and nothing. I then try with flag up and floor the accelerator and play around with cruise control lever and again nothing.

Can someone give me an exact step by step guide to get it to launch at 3500rpm?

Cheers

You need a tune to get it down to 3500 RPM

Can I get it down at all without a DCT tune? I have done a search and apparently I can but I have my doubts

I believe Kevin is correct. I too tried lowering the rpm for the launch control (with the cruise stalk) and could never get it to adjust.

i since then installed a dct tune and now have a 3,500 launch. I have not tried to lower it with the cruise stalk.

I believe you are right.

Anyone that has successfully adjusted with cruise stalk have comments? I see a few old posts on the forums where people have indicated they have done it

I do it all the time idk why you guys are having such problems. With my gts dct software, the cars set to 3500 but with my friends stock software dct he can go from 5500 rpm to 4k I believe. Anyway to adjust the rpm pull the cruise control stalk towards you to lower the rpm and push forward to up the rpm. You have to keep doing it, every time you want to lower the rpm it goes down by 100. So to go from 5500 to 4500 you have to pull the cruise control stalk towards you 10 times.

I am assuming this is with the flag up? And do you have the accelerator pressed to the floor while doing this?

a tune is not need to adjust the speed or rpm of the launch, only if you want it to be super low like 3500 rpms

engage launch control

keep your foot on the brake so the car doesn't roll forward. push the pedal to the floor you should be at like 5500rpms then pull the cruise control toward you mulitple times or hold it and the rpm will start to drop. I've done it in my car with out tune.

But if you touch the brake at anytime while LC is engaged the LC disengages...

Ok guys i recently got the gts dct tune which lowers lc rpm to 3500rpm.

Car still struggles for traction to the point it renders lc useless.

Could i have an issue with the bushings or something else?
