Been there and done that, and will probably do it again. Holding on the E90 of course.
OP, welcome to the E90 club!

Enjoyed your story -- thanks for sharing! Curious to know if you decided to test drive the M5 in the end, and if not, why not.

Awesome post.
M3 S65 spooling up to 8,000 rpm is...fun.

Haven't drove the 550 but my day in a 530 while the E92 M3 was in the shop (idle air control valve) was hell. Felt like a boat.
I love the power of the M3 along with the agility. Feels like I can put that car anywhere I want anytime I want. Welcome to the addiction. |

Porsche, haha, learned how to drive stick on mom's 1987 911 Targa when I was 15. I know poor me.
M5 F10, WOW! compared to a M3 isolated and still huge. The M3 just cuddles me while the F10 is more like a hug from an X-girlfriend in front of your wife. Man I have become jaded quickly Other cars... Had a G37s ride my bumper like we were conjoined twins(on a city street doing 40 between stop lights) and then "blew" past me when he had a chance MODS.... I had a 1990 mustang when I was 17 that dyno'd 375 RW HP(I did all the work). Hoursepoweraholic.... 1 is one to many, 1 more is never enough. As of now, filter/?intake? will be done, ???Maybe pullies??? (worked well on the 1990 mustang), thinking...tune from Mike Benvo(and other programming), not sure if exhaust is in my future (stock sound is fine and power gains from cat back seem to be nil) Dave.. My boy has gasoline running through his veins. I dread the day I said Bugatti Veyron.... If I hear another question " Is xxxxx car faster than a Bugatti Veyron" I may just aim for a tree. My neighbor has a Cobra 427 (700hp) replica, the first thing my boy asked him was, is this is faster than a Bugatti veyron????
