I wouldnt say that is sad. If only the M3 could make that kind of power with three simple mods.

M3s are beautiful, especially when supercharged but let's get real here.
U keep on arguing as u were there.
RWHp doesnt mean everything in a straight line.
GTR is great for these events, but u should never underestimate the best V8 in the world & its' still unleashed capabilities concerning modifications.

^ uhm, timeout.

Not sure if it's the same GTR, but E-gear makes a huge difference for these Bulls. Just as DCT for the M3.

the next one might with the (hopefully) tt v6 motor.

thats why im not buying a sc for this car

that said, sick vids and great performance from the m3s. especially at 1700' elevation. big advantage for the turbo cars there.

How many M3's here have an air filter, tune, and exhaust? A lot.....

$ per $ is a whole different story. Switzer P800 package was dropped to $14k right now and that includes the full enclosed car shipping.

Definitely a GORGEOUS M3 and lots of time put into it.
It depends by what you mean by heavily modded M3. M3 will all the bolt ons won't come anywhere near alpha 6. Just so we are on the same page, this package includes, catless downpipe, resonated mid pipe, AMS exhaust, AMS custom tune. And HKS air filter FWITW. That is significant power over stock. You will need supercharged M3 to keep up with this car.

The M3 is heavily modded. The ESS 650 kit is pretty sig boost.

Still think boosting the M3 is the going down a road that wont end well.

Wow, i'm impressed that the vt-650 did as well as it did. From a dig it would have been a different story. That R35 should be making low 5xx at the wheels and be a mid-10 second car. Great kill for the M3, but with just downpipes, midpipe, a drop-in filter (not even a 3" intake where the bigger gains are), and Cobb, this just shows how strong those R35's really are.

I know a Switzer E900 took the title for the event. I'm just imagining what it would have been like if their R1K or an alpha12 were present.

Impressive victory! It would've been a much closer race if it was a standing start.

I'm over this, lol, but I think you bring up a good question, so I'll try and answer it the best I can and make it relevant to a few other posts here, attempting to put more stock in one vid over the other. In the below vid, the Camera car is the same Red GTR that pulled the Orange M3 VT650 in the 2nd vid posted here.

The White GTR in the below vid has slightly modified turbo's, not sure what the specs are, but it's rated at 590whp, of course it's nowhere near any of the other larger turbo GTR's that were there, but this Red GTR still pulls him.

FWIW, based on the below vid, it appears the ESS VT650 M3 would have ran close with that white 590whp GTR.

That M3 might need new rings from the looks of the smoke coming from the exhaust.

Sitting still the M3 is also the winner.

That is not smoke, the runway was dusty.
