the thing is, people are getting tazed for every possible reason
you guys make it seem as if being tazed is the same as when you get those little shocks from a door handle.. it isn't...

tazers are lethal. I wouldn't trust fatty mcfat cop to show restraint when he can't even show it in front of donuts.

I guess everyone seems to have forgotten when people were getting tazed everywhere for any reason..

reminds me of that episode when Mr Burns wanted to get to the front of the line in a mall and start tazering everyone

yeah getting tazed sucks.

Your argument is akin to one who would say the guy who raw-dogged the village whore didn't deserve syphilis.

The guy knowingly violated the law and then tried to run. Do you understand there are consequences for consciously breaking the law?

No, they are not. They are getting tazed on for the reason of being caught while doing stupid shit they knew, or reasonably should have known, that they shouldn't have been. And in most cases, refusing to comply. If you're innocent, it will usually flush out. While at the end of a gun/tazer/baton is not the time to debate it.

Saying it twice doesn't make it so. Someone wants to taze my son for showing his ass, being disruptive or breaking the law, have at it. I'll send you a thank you note. I club hurts worse, and he could have been shot.

You guys want to keep scaling down the force applied to scofflaws until they just get a sternly worded letter from a friend I guess. No thanks.

I didn't mean big hair boy was a potential bomber. Though a wound up cop does not know that. I was implying that in the shift meetings I know the bomber subject is brought up. National security calls have been incoming to just about every major city. And the fact that high populace places are more than likely on an even higher alert status.

Skippy picked the wrong day to get on YouTube.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Tasers are not lethal. Multiple independent medical studies have proven that the use of a Taser reduces injuries as opposed to traditional methods of subduing people in over 97% of the cases.

Disparaging the overweight cop by using an over played stereotype speaks volumes about your maturity and your intelligence level, and people like you are why cops are still issued expandable metal batons. Go away and take your feeble opinions with you.

Or, stay and try and educate yourself for a change.

A simple google search will provide plenty of medical info about how Tasers are transparent to pace makers (Which means they don't affect pace makers).

I have to give last nights guy the Bozo award. 35 years old and was booed loudly. Copycats are uber weak.

Fashion police. Urgent call from Philadelphia line 1.

#28 appears to be giving him an ear full.

Doug Hefernan is that you?

This thread is so WIN.

By far the funniest thread I've read in a while!

Anyone else laughing their ass off reading these posts?

How bad are the Philly cops or security people at their jobs that they can't run that kid down and tackle him. That type of response you be reserved for a police officer to defend themselves if need be. To use the taser as the weapon of choice to subdue this kid was a really bad example of lazy policing.

I'm really surprised by all the people saying this was excessive. Too many people think it's ok to be a jackass. It's not. The guy broke the law. And when he saw all the security running after him, he didn't stop and say "ok, you got me", he kept dodging and trying to get away.
You never, ever, resist a cop. Period.
