Problem with iPod/iPhone connectivity

Here's a question that has been bugging the hell out of me recently. I picked up a 2008 E92 M3 about two months ago. It only has the AUX port which is fairly static on songs with bass and no other connects to the sound system. I went to the local BMW dealership to get an iPod USB port installed so that I could use it through the iDrive. After three days of the car in the shop they told me that it was impossible to do the install because of software issuses. They said that because of the certain options that are installed in the car, they could not install the iPod connect correctly. All I want is to be able to control my iPod through the iDrive system. How can I do this???

Go to another dealer.

Any competent dealer can install this by enabling the OEM CD Changer option: http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...ntegration-kit

Not a bad idea I guess. I took it to a huge bimmer dealership, but I guess a second opinion couldn't hurt.
