Just purchased an 08' Vert
My 08 Z4M was just too small, so I had a chance to drive an 08' DCT Vert and just couldn't resist. Its Melbourne Red Metallic over Black and only 26k miles.
I had owned an E46 M Vert but it was a pig compared to this car (but the E46 M coupe I owned was great). The DCT is also light years better than the month I spent with an M5/SMG. Anyway, look forward to hanging here. |

I am curious about the "pig" comment. I had an E46 M3 vert and it was no pig, especially compared to the E93 M3. It was not as fast, no, but it was noticeably more nimble. I prefer the E93, but do still miss the old E46 now and again. |

did you mean the e46 vert was a pig compared to your z4m? or to the e93 m3? I think the e93 weighs like 500 more pounds than the e46 vert due to hard top and all the usual vert supporting structure

One more welcome. Also a former E46 vert owner and my car was not pig, had a great spirited feel compared to the E9x (though obviously slower overall.) Post up some pics.

Sorry if I offended anyone about the pig comments. What I was referring to was the dramatic difference in feel moving from an 02 Coupe to and 02 Vert. It was like night and day. From a purely weight perspective, the E93 is even fatter but seems far better balanced. Perhaps I had a lemon?

Nice and congrats. I am thinking about getting rid of my Z4MC thats modified for comfort levels rather than performance. When done right the Z4MC still sits nicer than any E9X M3 but I want the comfort versus the cockpit Z4MC. I want the M3/X5 interior and comfort level now as I get older. I have an newer X5 as well and am getting addicted to all the room (less power) and overall space. I am going 6 speed if I get it. The dealer really wants my CPO's Z4MC but they want the Magnesium Blue Volks and suspension with it. Not sure about that. Anyway congrats and happy driving.
