lol, you sound like me. But some like the dyno stuff, so why not.

You have both upgraded since your last impressive runs at Atco, it should be interesting, based on the outcome with LM and someone needs to stop Mike from posting about that 10.69 run every chance he gets.

Obviously a 600+ kit will beat a low/mid/high 500 kit - its just common sense and LM/Akash expected nothing different.

I have experience with AA, ESS, and VF S65 kits and they are all solid solutions. They all perform as claimed, which is all you can ask of a supercharger kit. Each kit has its own unique selling points and people choose the right kit for them based on these points and real world results.

The REAL difference is the drivers/car/setup/etc. which seems to be a new theory for some of the late model BMW community. As a relative noob to the BMW community, I can say I've never seen such bickering in the other parts of the auto aftermarket. Ultimately, it comes down to the driver and how the car is prepped overall.
Some good points Mike.

Make it happen man and put all speculation to rest! This may be a grand opportunity to see the strengths and weakness of all respective kits.

I'm annoyed of this ESS vs Active Drama, get over it - you both make awesome products and I have respect for both of you being pioneers. But it is just annoying (and embarrassing for both of you) to see two leaders in FI E9X M3s argue and instigate like this on a public forum.

I'll be honest, I enjoy reading it because its funny, but its getting old now. Based on what I've seen over the years of reading and a year or so of being active on his forum there is an uncanny bias towards ESS - its seems that every thread with anything positive about Active has ESS (the company, not a customer) chiming in with something negative. Almost seems like ESS owns a stake of this forum and is controlling information...

Z06 in the video traps high 130's low 140 in good DA. Impressive turnout for the M3's. FWIW I've beaten an Alpha 9 GTR with this Z06, and ran with a Ducati 1098 (and ran away from a stock z06 very hard....with headers/full exhaust/tune/intake it dynoed 430whp on vettedoctors dyno....so it reads on the low side).

Its common sense - when the vast majority of people who slap a blower on their car chooses ESS, then this should be expected...take yesterday for instance, I dont think there was a single blown M3 at the show but ESS

I won't argue with that, this forum does seem to have more individuals with ESS blowers - I don't think you can accurately say that for the population as a whole, but they are still one of the leaders without a doubt.

With that said, I totally understand with customers jumping in - what sparked my curiosity was when I started noticing ESS as a company posting negative responses and instigating in each thread (and others are just as guilty for biting and firing back)

In the end we are all Bmw fanatics and should treat each other with respect and an open mind.

Are you guys still using the HKS blower? I know you were testing another brand a few weeks ago when I was there, can't remember the name though.

I'll admit I went a little too far with AK, but we were able to talk off the forum, and cooler heads prevailed, all is good.

As far as a bias, what some perceive as being partial, others perceive as facts and reality. The vast majority of comments in here that specifically pertain to AK's car destroying Lost Marine's M3 are positive. The only question many of us had was why didn't he run the 600, why hasn't he ran M33, etc.? Or any other car for that matter to date? He gave his reasons and then what followed spun a little out of control, it happens, take each side for what it is, either way there's no bad blood between AK and I. I think the dyno and blower comparisons have been a fair discussion, and I certainly didn't see ESS as a company post anything that was egregious.

There is no conspiracy, never has been. I've been around a long time, I can assure you M3post is very well managed and run, it is very fair, and they are forgiving when other forums aren't. Jason is a gentleman and a class act, he runs these forums for enthusiasts, not to promote himself, and he certainly isn't a push over either, from what I've seen he does an extremely good job at balancing all the ego's in here and at times lays the hammer down when it needs to be, currently it is by far the best BMW forum, especially for E9X's, and I have little doubt that it will be for the F30 as well.

Im sorry if you feel that asking questions and posting facts and data is negative. Everything I have posted in this thread has been to correct inaccurate infomation that has been posted or questions I have had that have not been made clear. This thread has had a lot of false information posted and many assumptions that are trying to be passed off as fact.

This thread has obviously turned into the typical SC VS SC thread mostly due to Andrew claiming that this video somehow shows that a Active stage 2+ car beataing an ESS stage 1 car proves that AA's stage 2 kit performs better than any kit we make. It is to go without saying that our customers who have our stage 2 products will most likely disagree and with close to 300 of these kits on the road there are a lot of them out there. This comment from Andrew in particular proves my point in reference to our VT1-535 and our VT2-600 kit which was not even run against.

"Fact is in the video Akash's car could pull both of those kits with ease."

At no point in this thread did I state that any of our kits would beat any AA kit with ease or take shots at Active. I stated that the outcome was as expected, I asked a few questions, posted some facts and corrected a few inaccuarte statements. I have actually been very polite in this thread with all things considered.
