Meisterschaft GT2 + Test Pipes = Ridonkulous?
Does anyone have experience running a Meisterschaft GT2 with test pipes/primary cat delete? I'm running stock cats and x-pipe with the GT2 and it's already loud, albeit intoxicating, and I wanted to see how much louder it got and whether or not there was any rasp? I've found 1 video thus far and it has a bunch of crappy music interwoven making it difficult to make any sort of decision.
I assume it will get louder, but how 'much' louder is the question, and whether the amazing sound is maintained as well.

1) How much louder? A lot.... 2) Is the amazing sound maintained? Not necessarily. I had the OEM exhaust mod (ACM method) which I still think is one of the best sound. But I was craving more power, especially since South Carolina does not have inspections. Exhaust went from amazing to too loud and raspy (for me). I can only imagine it'll be the exact same for you. That is going to be LOUD, probably to the point of being obnoxious. My point is, catless setups CAN sound good depending on which muffler you have. But you have to start with one that's on the tamer side (I wouldn't go anymore aggressive than Eisenmann Race, and the GT2 blows it out of the water in terms of volume).

I love loud setups. personally i would run that, but it also depends on what you want.
some times when it comes to exhuast, you gotta play around with different setups to get the sound you want. i did this on my last car, and now i am doing it on my M3. I have found people on the M3 forum to be much more sound sensitive. |

In that video that the OP is talking about, the car barely sounds like a V8 anymore. Just an assload of rasp.

the truth is that some people like the exhuast super loud and aggressive(raspy). i got a friend who has a 5.0L GT, his setup is long tube headers, corsa mufflers with no resonators. pretty raspy. i do not like the sound, but he does. i prefer a deep V8 sound. tone of the exhuast is subjective. my advice for OP would be that the car is going to get a great deal louder, and more raspy (aggressive). but doesn't mean you cant try it out. test pipes are inexpensive |

I want the stage 2 tune so bad, but don't want to sacrifice the GT2 sound to do it just yet! Anyone know of a setup that includes test pipes and a catback that resembles just the GT2 in order to get the most HP and sound? The full Gintanti sounds good, but seems expensive.

Sounds incredible, and able to enjoy it with a BPM Stg2 tune. Don't do what I did and go through 6 different combinations of exhausts.... I saw a few E.Race floating around in the used section. Still not the cheapest, but really nice.

test pipe is basically a primary cat delete. so sound will be very similar. challenge race x pipe deletes primaries + secondaries and has 2 resonators. only difference is secondary cats which will make it *slightly* quieter. same sound overall though
