And the sad argument that tOSU haters neglect to accept is that he already had the job in Columbus before the investigation was done. He didn't run from it. He accepted a better job. Please don't sit there and act as if Wisconsin is squeeky clean dude. Alvarez and Ryan have both had allegations brought on to UDub bro. Its just not a huge deal cause its Wisconsin. idc about 09 rose bowl. i don't go to oregon smart one. I'm not saying oregon is clean. No college football program is clean. This will make NCAA look more in to colleges using "street agents". So again nice try, thanks for playing.

Of course I am. I don't agree with you. That makes me a fanboi. Cause I know about everything that was mentioned, which is why I spoke about it. Unlike some people...

I am just pointing out he might not have been deemed responsible for #1, its still taken into consideration by everyone viewing this matter. He has been the target of investigations like this in the past.

I don't refute that ANY school has some shit going on but it's 1 thing to have it speculated behind closed doors and another to get caught by the NCAA in the act.

This is just all together a crap ass statement. I never sat here and acted like UW was squeeky clean. Like I said above, NO NCAA D1 school is squeeky clean... I'm not naive. Again, don't forget an allegation is not a formal charge (that was part of your argument in your statement wasn't it?), whether there wasn't enough to prove any wrong doing or the implication was that they weren't responsible for what happened, they were let go.

And quit talking out of your ass "not a huge deal cause its Wisconsin"... there is life in NCAA football outside of Columbus. Sounds to me you forgot we beat you this past year and went to the Rose Bowl.

I am rational. Because I pointed out other infractions and violations by other programs makes me irrational? Please. Or because I don't go with the grain as others did makes me irrational? Come on. You can't tell me that the ish Tress got into is worse than the allegations against other schools.

I don't forget that. I remember it vividly. You guys out played us. That was all. Doesn't mean that the Badgers are better. Just meant they were better that night. As for the Rose Bowl. Probably wouldn't bring that up since it was a bad loss for the B1G. But what do I know? I am not a "rational" tOSU fan. And I thought this was a smacktalk thread. Didn't know everyone wore sensative pants while posting in here.

???? ok now you're contradicting yourself... I'll let you go lie down.

and while I would have love to beat TCU, we didn't so I tip my cap to the better team. One thing about football or any other sport for that matter is your ability to win in big (or little) games. You guys got out played and lost, tip your cap and move on but when you try to qualify it with "it doesn't mean the badgers are better" you sound like an idiot and as Akbar said, a fanboi.

OF COURSE IT MEANS WE ARE BETTER, WE BEAT YOU!

plain and simple...forfeit all of 2010 season...$500,000 fine and he should be suspended for 1 more game than the players...

I am 100% against these silly NCAA rules that keep the money out of the hands of the players...the school can sell TP's jersey for $100, but he can't barter for a cheap, ugly tat

However, rules are rules and Tressel should as a matter of routine turn all of these matters over to the compliance office...it doesn't seem that he did this that time

BTW...no one here is a larger fanboi that me

Since the NCAA never even suspended these players for the bowl game when they should've, there is no way they will ask for a forfeiture of the entire 2010 season.

That being said... I think a reasonable suspension would be equal to that of the players. If the NCAA did that, it wouldn't surprise me.

they can ask for forfeiture because the senator signed the form (as all coaches do) that all of their players are eligible...he knew (or should have known) since April that there were problems...

They could've and should've asked for immediate suspension too, not suspension for games 7 months into the future. Precedence shows they won't ask for that, imo.

It should at the very least match that of the players.... The coach should be held to a much higher standard than the ghetto fabulous players, and therefore his punishment should be much more harsh.

But that's just my opinion. OSU can't afford to lose Tressel for more than 5 games (well, they CAN afford to, but I'd expect at least two losses if he's gone through the sixth game), but if they do, at least they'd have time to prep his sit-in before the season starts. That would be one advantage of making sure the determination of the length of his suspension is done quickly.

So it's up to five games now. I guess that's sufficient. I still think the coach should be subject to more severe punishments than the players, but equal suspensions makes a little sense too.
