E92 AW or E92 SSII
Hi guys,
I am getting an E92 and just need to decide on which way to go. The two I am looking at are an AW with Fox Red interior, CF trim, M-drive, Exec package, and CF roof. The other is SSII with Palladium Silver interior, CF trim, M-Drive, Exec package and CF roof. Only problem is they both have 18" rims (I find them revolting, sorry guys.) I am getting a smoking deal on it so I will one or the other, anyone want to trade some 18" for some 19's? Haha, anyways what do you guys think about between the two cars? Thanks! |

I'm getting SSII with Red Fox, because:
A) the M3 is the only car that could pull off a red interior B) I saw silver interior on SSII and it was like navy with black. SO close in color that they don't look right together.

Go with AW, white is very in. Add the red interior then it's very sexy. I'd love to have an AW with red or saddle brown interior 335i or xi coupe.

Between the two, I would go with AW.

usually when you think AW BMW, you think chick car
if there is any car that could pull it off, it's the M3 though

The M3 looks great in SSII or AW. SSII is probably the most complex silver I've ever seen on any car - it picks up a lot of color from the environment. Overcast day - looks blue; sunny day - looks platinum...looks INCREDIBLE at night under the lights of the city.
I didn't go with AW because so many people have it and it is a little *too* in for me right now I guess : ) It looks great though, if someone swapped my SSII for an AW tomorrow, I wouldn't complain. Not sure how the silver interior will look on SSII though; I went with black. Red interior will look cool on AW. Good luck! |

God I love SSII. I'd consider it for any M car.

At times SSII does look a little odd with it's very blue tint, on other occasions the colour is plain beautiful.
The only problem with AW is that 90% of the M3s I have saw are that colour and I prefer to be a little different. |

Could you post pics when you get your M3! I am debating your color combo or SSII with Black/Silver. I want SSII but I don't know with what interior.

Ya tough decision, really struggling, I will have to go look at them both in person and see for myself (p.s. my wife-to-be really doesn't like the fox red! haha.)

My first choice was AW with Fox Red interior... but, I wanted to to see it IRL... so I went to the dealer and they had that combination plus a SS and Fox Red... IMO, the SS and Fox Red was just amazing. I saw the car at night and it looked platinum. I saw it again during the day and it got that slight bluish tint. What i really like about the SS is the combination of the carbon on the roof. The balance and colors IMO work very well. Whatever you decide... go see it IRL. The 'build your own' doesn't give you the full picture. I'll have pics in about 4 weeks or so.
