Repair and refinish DIY for 220M Wheels
I want to thank all the contributors to this section on tips for washing, polishing and maintaining the car's paint. My work to maintain the car has yielded great results and I could not be happier.
However, I have not been as successful in trying to repair some curb rash on my stock 220M 19 inch wheels. I have read the posts on this forum and around the web trying to get tips on doing this myself but the resources have been lacking, or worse, incorrect for these wheels. Here is what I know from experience: - The wheels are painted and clearcoated. - The Wurtz "OEM" Paint is not the same paint used on the wheels. - The Wurtz "OEM" clearcoat is not the same clearcoat used on the wheels. I am hoping from this post someone has experience working specifically with these wheels. It has been frustrating trying to repair these myself and am close to simply paying to have them repaired by someone else; but I am stubborn and want to give it one more try. Specific advise on a DIY process to repairing these wheels will be appreciated. Thank you!

Honestly just let it go and get them fixed. I've never heard of anyone trying to get their curb rash fixed by themselves. Getting rims touched is relatively cheap and you need the knowledge and how to. Great you're trying to do it yourself but just hand it over to someone at this point
