so I let the wife take the car - then she calls and asks how much the M6 reps were :/

Then she says I 'shouldn't let her drive the car'

hmm -

Fortunately, its still holding air - its just got a good curb rash on the right front.

Time to go looking for the DIY wheel repair thread.

Sucks man. I learned the hard way too. Women and wheels do not mix.

Not true at all. The old man had a Maserati, and made the mistake of letting my mom drive it. She rashed 2 of the wheels to shit. Total repairs were $1,400. It is expensive, but can be done. That was an exotic though and work done at the dealer.

you're both wrong. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=son+tran. it might be in your best interest to inquire about shipping your wheels to him.

Your pops got ripped off.

Curb rash can be fixed easily, and generally for ~100-150 a rim.

Yep. He has been one of the people who just gets sold on things his whole life without any research. He is no longer allowed to buy things of any substantial amount without consulting with me. Sad, I know. But it has been that way since I found out he was paying $1,000/mo for a 2002 ford thunderbird when they came back out. Worst part was his good friend was the dealer.

Curb rash is the easiest because it can be fixed on the spot, unlike a bend on a wheel.

It takes an hour tops by a reputable person to come and fix it on the spot and would be no more than $150-200 per wheel.

Yup, same thing happened to me when I had my S14 240SX. I waited 3 months for my Bee R wheels from Japan. A month after I put them on my girlfriend 'thought' she had enouh confidence to drive a lightweight turbo 240 5-speed. Spun out and hit a curb. I quit buying expensive rims after that. They had the sickest concave though.
