Plethora of Interlagos/Silver

Why are there so many of these cars around? Is this an undesirable combo?

Next to red, I'd take the silver over black.. everyone has black!

weird, i've only seen 4 other m3s here and they were all different colors. white e92, red e93, grey e92, and blue e90.

IB on Black is classy, IB on Silver is cheap and desperate. No one wants to look cheap and desperate so no one is buying them, hence the stockpile.

It's why I read "CAR" and "evo" - because the blokes who write for those mags love cars and language - and that makes for a more engrossing read.

I personally thinkg IB/PS looks great and I would have gotten it if I didn't get IB/FR which also looks great even though many think otherwise until they see it in person and realize wow it does look great

IB/FR is what I really want but not available unless you order.. so I'm out of luck there. IB/SN is the next best choice IMO.

Lucky for me they can be found still!

I saw this combo when I took my car in for service last time. It's the combo I would get myself if I were buying an M3, looks great I think.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I've seen a lot of this combo for sale on the lot, but haven't seen any pics of this combo posted in the short while I've visited the forum. I guess it led me to believe that this was an undesirable combo, so I was just asking why.

I am curious if the unsold cars you saw were extended or not? Or some of both? I personally don't like extended in any color (well, except black). Its just too much color.

A few of us on the forum have the combo. Myself and Reincarnated for example.

I don't think it is undesirable. I think it looks great. However, it does seem to be that Black is the preferred interior color with Interlagos. I do have to admit that I would very likely not have chosen Paladium Silver had I specc'd this car for order myself. My first choice would have been Fox Red, like someone above also said. This is because I like things that are our of the norm. But my second choice would have been Black, with PS next and then Bamboo Beige. In fact, I don't think I'd have bought the car had it had beige. I just cannot like tan interiors no matter how hard I try. Also, I will say that if, instead of PS, the M3 interior was more like the Dakota Gray in the 3 series, again, I would not have been able to convince myself I like it. Paladium, though, is different. It is gray, but its gota a lot of blue in it and it actually does give off a slightly metalic impression because of that. Its nice, but its just not for everyone, so I suppose that's why its a bit of a tough sell.

I think IB/PS is an extremely sexy color combo. Its the closest thing to my dream combo: Aegean Blue or Velvet Blue on Ecru.

I enjoy my IB/PS combo. Had I ordered the car myself, I would have chosen speed cloth however.

Although I agree that IB/Palladium doesn't look as good as IB/Silverstone does on the M5/M6, it's a far cry from cheap or desperate.

I ordered the IB/PS and expect delivery late next week.

Seems like a popular combination...not that I care since my car is made just like I wanted it.

I LOVE IB but could not find any 08 E90's on the dealer lots and fell in love with my SG/FR combo so I bought it, but I would trade in a second for IB.
