Is this statement true about the Eisenmann Race

I found this on a web site
The Eisenmann Race performance offers a deep throaty exotic tone. This dyno proven system put down 16hp, and 11lb-ft of torque.
The link is http://ind-distribution.com/wheels/B...00835%5E18.php

I searched extensively and everything I found says the opposite, no power gain.
So what is the truth?

If it's just the axel back mufflers, don't count on any HP or Torque gains - you may get a couple, but it's really insignificant. When you also do the x-pipe, changing to hi-flow cats or no cats, and get a tune, that's when you'll see some gains.

Independent testing by Fall Line gave us the below results:

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232766

The testing was performed on a brand new M3, owned by Fall Line and destined to be stripped to a Grand Am race car. The car was fresh from the show room floor. Fall Line dyno tested the car that morning, installed the Eisenmann, and then dyno tested it again a few hours later in identical conditions.

And I take it this was only with the muffler and connecting pipes?

The only thing I have seen are people coming out with big claims to the contrary but no data to back them up.

The test posted by ind seems legit. With larger connecting pipes and pretty much pass through muffler, It would seem reasonable to see some gains.

If these power gains are true on the Eisenmann race exhaust, would it be safe to say that by doing the ACM style OEM exhaust mod one would achieve similar power gains?

When I had the E.Race on it seemed to add some power but I think I was just pushing the car harder to get out of the drone zone. I've had a bunch of axle back exhausts on my e46 and e92, I've never noticed a power bump.
