Calipers: AP Racing 6 Piston Caliper (CP5555) - Now Available in New Competition Grey finish!

• Lightweight, pressure cast aluminum alloy 2-piece body for better pedal
feel than typical monoblock calipers
• Fixed radial mount for minimal caliper flex
• Hard anodized then finished with a tough 2-part paint system
• Differential piston bores minimize pad taper and maximize braking
efficiency
• Secondary dust seals for everyday use
• Anti-Rattle clip to eliminate pad knock

Rotors: AP Racing 368mm x 36mm (14.5”x1.42”)

• Two-piece patented strap drive assembly with an aluminum hat
• 48 directionally curved vanes for maximum cooling
• Cross-drilled and slotted for aggressive pad bite and better face cooling
• Slotted only rotors optional

Strap Drive System: SDS has been developed by AP Racing both for Road and Race applications. The standard fitment discs on many performance cars can suffer from brake vibrations caused by disc distortion. This generally occurs on fast road and track installations.

The strap drive system offers a new take on the floating systems already in the market place. Strap drive uses a series of stainless steel straps to locate the disc to the mounting bell, producing a flexible coupling between the hub and the disc faces. This allows the disc to run true in the caliper under all conditions and also permits the disc to expand and contract without being restricted.

Brake Pads: Mintex Xtreme Motorsport Compound

• Xtremely high friction for race pad stopping power
• Excellent grip -- from cold to over 1300°F (700°C)
• Linear and predictable under all conditions

Brackets, Brake Lines and Hardware:

• Aluminum alloy caliper mounting brackets for maximum strength and stiffness and lowest weight
• Anodized for durability
• Stainless steel outer braid with PTFE inner liner (DOT compliant)
• High performance hardware included

While monoblock calipers do have a great look to them, these are made from properly designed and developed 2-piece caliper bodies. Since they have stiff steel cross-bolts, they are extremely rigid and responsive, more so than a typical monoblock design can be.
