e92 accident pics

got rear ended while stopped at an intersection yesterday by a chevy Tahoe going about 30. Launched my e92 in the air and into a murcury going in the other direction. m3 did a 360 before coming to stop in the middle of the intersection. It was flatbedded away to JMK BMWs body shop where they think they'll be able to repair it...at the very high cost to the Tahoe driver.

I walked away with some scratched on my forearm from the steering wheel airbag going off but thats about it.

Damn that sucks! Luckily you're okay.

Hopefully it's a total loss so you can get a new one. You don't want that repaired.

the logic might seem odd to some, but i DO want it repaired. It's a lease so in another 20 months it somebody elses problem. If it's totaled i'm out the 5k i put down plus the money for the wheel and tire insurance.

Have your insurance check her cell phone records, I guarantee she was yapping on the phone when she hit you. How can you rear end somebody with a bright white car in broad daylight?

That sucks...sorry to hear about the bad news. Looks like the Tahoe wasn't even damage.

OT, what kind of NJ plates are those??? I've never seen them before.

NYP = New York Press. Given out to reporters, photographers or other essential staff that work for radio/TV Stations or newspapers. You need to re-apply yearly with the NYPD for a press ID card and then submit a copy of that to DMV to get/keep the plates. Basically used to identify vehicles drives by members of the media at the scene of stories, or during periods when the city is locked down (like after 9/11, etc) it lets you through the tunnels, etc.

I know that junction. People coming over the bridge are often going very fast coming from Weehawken. Sorry to hear about it. Moral of the story - don't put money down on a lease. If you hadn't, I'm sure you would be pulling for a write off.

NP. Just found out today that the driver of the truck that rear-ended me only has 5k worth of property damage on their policy. So my insurance (prudential/highpoint) will be paying out to fix it (minus my $500 deductible) and then suing her personally for whatever they paid out that her insurance doesn't cover.

I'm also going to sue her in small claims court for the deductible that I'm paying out, plus the months lease payment while it's in the shop.
