OEM spark plug or After Market?

Is about time for my E93 to change spark plug, i am wondering if you guys have any suggestion.

OEM spark plug - $20 each

you can also go to rockauto. I believe they were less than 20 as well

NGK 1997 2 steps colder, just wait till you see the price
Just remember these are not "Guaranteed" to work correctly with the ion knock system. Use at own risk

Could you please explain what "...step colder" means and how that effects performance? I'm not familiar with racing plugs.

used on forced induction and nitrous applications to help prevent blow out and detonation
