Dude! Those are my choices EXACTLY!!! My gf is quite against Dakar Yellow, but I love it. Now, if there's gonna be an LCI and assuming Dakar won't be offered any more, then I'll go with SG and black out the grilles and other bits myself.

Everyone seems to have a white one. It's a great colour on the E9x but SG has more depth, IMO, without going all black. But Dakar Yellow... man... that's in another league...

So the question is: Order a pre-LCI 2010 or wait 6 months to see the changes?

Personally, I think the current body looks perfect the way it is but I'd be a little upset if I missed out on a significant positive change.

Umm, the only change I saw was: black kidney bars instead of silver kidney bars "to match the side view mirrors"

The biggest changes seem to be the way that the packages combine features.

According to the PDF:
- Comfort Access is standard
- Logic 7 is standard for all 3 models (Coupe, Sedan, Cabriolet) (13 speakers inc 2 subs)
- Heated Seats is standard (the new radio face now makes sense)
- Bluetooth and BMW Assist is standard

The Premium Package is now the Executive Package which includes:
(the usual)
- Power Folding Mirrors
- Univ. Garage Opener
- Adjustable Seat Width w/ Lumbar
- Compass Mirror
(new)
- Rear Sunshade
- Parking Distance Control
- Sirius
- Individual Audio System

Exec Package no longer includes
- Leather upholstery

MDrive package no longer includes
- EDC

Don't know if they offer different things in Canada as they do in Europe.

Also, did it get slower? For the sedan, it gives 0-100kph (62.5mph) as 4.9/4.7.

Also, for the sedan, the moon roof is standard. And all come with alarms?? Maybe Canadians need alarms more because they don't have guns? Alas, I digress to another thread.

Can someone from Canada confirm that this would be a substantial change in how options are packaged there too?

I think the only thing I want from the 2010 is the new audio package.

I didnt order premium audio with my 09 so i have the base system. Would have been nice if it was the logic 7 like i had in the 335i.

At least there are no new interior or exterior colors.

Really curious how much difference 09 Premium Package vs 2010 Executive Package will be.

That said, i think its a good amount of change to wait for the 2010 model at this point.

Great job once again and your suspicions were confirmed in that there are no major changes to kick-off the 2010 run for the M3. Would you suspect that the Competition Package (ZCP) would be offered at this potential MCI update 2010.5? If we were to align the e46 product cycle timeline, the e92 would not receive the ZCP until 2012.

In the US, the M6 received the ZCP three years after the e63 was released in 2006.

Looks like I'm happy with the minor changes as well.. makes enough justification for a 1 month wait... it will be interesting... because they seem to do a few things differently down here in Australia... that being said... will be very interesting... Woohoo... should be getting my baby in November now.

Individual Audio = Enhanced Premium Sound

Please don't base your speculation too much about the packages based on the Canadian model. Canada have always had different options and package groupings than the US... I believe Logic7 was already standard on the M3 last year in Canada...

Just want to share that all this waiting has caused me a bit of a problem. I've recently taken a test drive in a... Jaguar XFR. And while it's a world away from an M3, I really like it.

Waiting for a final quotation from the dealer today to finally make up my mind. The gf really loves the M3 but the ability to take what seems to be a small living room up to 60mph in about 4.7s is rather fun in a strange sort of way... and that interiror...

Oh the wait... a week or so ago I was all ready to place an order. I even have a list of mods and the order in which I will purchase them all planned out. Well, here's to planning

No problem. It isn't the same as EPS: the steps are base audio, Logic7, and then Enhanced Premium Sound.
