Wink Exhaust Mod pictures and video (including no exhaust ;))

So I modified my exhaust from the previous car that was flooded (check sig). Here are pics and video.
The car sounds waaay better. It has developed a bit of a "nosey" tone at 2500-4000 which is more exotic. The walls resonate in tunnels which is always fun. A bit more bassy down low. Can hear the difference all the way to redline. So very happy I did this.

About 30% louder IMO.

VIDS - watch in order (and HD). It goes without saying that they cannot really recapture the essence of the sound:

Sounds and looks great....can you provide some details?

What tips?

What type of coating?

It looks like welded patches over the existing perforated pipes. Do they completely wrap around the pipe and then just tacked in/welded down the seam?

Tips 304 SS 2.5''
Coating high temp powdercoating
Welded patches is what i believe was done, not a whole uncut tube as this, I believe, would require cutting it from both sides.

Did you have them cover both sets of perforated pipes (there are 2 per side) or just one in each chamber? I recall one guy who covered them both and removed all the "steel wool" and said it was too loud, like straight pipes. Very clean mods and awesome sound BTW

Exactly, I didn't want that. Just one pipe - the longest one. And the fiberglass stayed in.
