I know right.. same guys dropping $3k for pipes called an exhaust, $5k for wheels, $1500 hood or trunk are saying that an actual piece of R&D'd hardware isn't worth it.

So I guess that thread a few weeks ago was inaccurate. It's not r&d or reliability that is the ultimate factor, its price..

"Man those new Aventadore's aren't worth the money, noone will buy one, or rather I can't afford one, so the price is too high"

Also, I don't recall a price being announced, seems like some people just want to bash.. how surprising..

Nice use of Solidworks and Flow Simulation. From the Velocity flow trajectories in the airbox, looks like there could be a big pressure/temp change from one end of the airbox to the other. Cant wait to see the final product.

Thats a pretty manifold, but what will you do with the crankcase vent system? Is the s/c outlet on top? Seems like a series of sharp bends will be needed to reach the plenum if so. The blower bracket very compact and clean guys!

Not sure if these are directed at me or not but I will reply.

Sure I own an M3. I did not buy the car for fuel efficiency either. That's not to say I don't wish it had waaaay better fuel efficiency (and it could have and that would have made it a better car).

As far as my aftermarket parts go I buy most of them very lightly used. I let some one else take the huge hit and pay the exorbitant "BMW tax". Then I swoop in and get them used. I just won't pay what most vendors want for parts. They are not worth it to me. Sure I can afford it but consider it somewhat wasteful. Looking for good value and low prices is not synonymous with "cheap" or "tight ass".

Either way neither myself nor other posters were really complaining about the price. We don't know that yet. We were more commenting on the manufacturing engineering and hoping that it would be manufactured in the least expensive way possible with those savings passed to potential buyers. Unfortunately it appears it will not be so and this kit will be priced at the top end of the market. All I can say is good luck to Evolve selling them.

It was not directed toward anyone specifically. But still true. No problem looking for used items, its fine, you get good stuff at a reduced price. But for instance, why would one choose a akra or vorsteiner exhaust over ttps and oem exhaust mod? Sound of course, but do u think one performs over the other? did more work go into one over the other? Does one have a bit of exclusiveness to it, ect?

I guess I can read your post somewhat "if the shoe fits put it on" and for me it does not really fit. It may very well for some or maybe even many. Cheers.

Guys,

please do not make any assumptions about pricing just because we are using very high end production techniques.

Pricing will be released in the very near future.

Manifold looks really tough unfinished, just 2 questions:
  1. For people who have the Evolve-R tune, would they be able to roll this over to the S/C kit (maybe save some money??)
  2. I see that you're taking some design elements from your modified G-Power installs (not cutting up the engine bay the air-to-air intercooler piping), will the intake be something similar (utilizing both the lower front bumper vents & the hood venting)

1. We will have some kind of concession for Evolve-R customers.
2. We have 2 designs/methods that we are trying out. Which ever works the best will be used.
