Anybody With Blown Shocks From Lowering Springs

Has anybody had their shocks fail from lowering their car? If so, how many miles until they failed and what springs were you using? I'm wanting to get RDSport springs since they are the most aggressive but at the same time, I don't want to replace my shocks too soon or get coilovers.

I'm assuming by the lack of replies that the majority of M3s have not experience blown shocks.

You will not experience damper failure from lowering, although you can screw up the handling by reducing the suspension travel. The damper controls the spring. The higher the spring rate, the more damping required. So, if you move to a substantially higher spring rate, you will need more damping capacity, or, you risk "blowing" the damper.
