Have any of you guys watched Sherlock (the BBC tv show)? Despite the fact that it's a great show, I thought the cinematography was great. I wonder what cameras they use?

Dude, that show rocks. After the first episode I was hooked. It's a shame there were only 3 episodes in season 1, but then again it is the BBC and they were 90 minutes long. Season 2 just started up...

Yeah, just noticed there are only a few... very unfortunate. Looking forward to more though!!!

I love BBC series. They have some of the best content. If you want to see a good show, check out "Life on Mars" but make sure you get the UK version, and not the US version. The US bought the rights to it a few years back and tryed to make it Americanized. It lost the colorful language and such, which is half the show I've rewatched it a couple times (it's only 2 seasons)

Even the new Doctor Who series is pretty decent if you're ever bored.

ahh, cool. I saw the US version of Life on Mars and enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll like the UK version, so I'll check that out sometime.

to warn you, the story lines are basically the same (i didn't follow the US one all the way through so there may be some big differences i didn't get to) But for the most part the main differences are accents, a funnier "Gene", locations, and less content filtering.

they followed the show up with an 80's version after called Ashes to Ashes, which features a different detective then the other series, but still has the same Gene and other characters. It's pretty good too.

I thought the ending to the US version was way out in left field... really way out. I wonder if the BBC version was similar.

I'm unfamiliar with the ending of the US version (and trying to remember the ending to the UK one)

The UK one was 2006, so it might be a bit dated, that being said, most of the show was to take place in the 70's so the dating of it doesn't really apply

I'll see if i can find it on my computer.

If you like, I can upload them to your server. (if i find them)

That article reminds me of the movie Fight Club for some reason.

so long story short, can i download/stream tv shows from it?

I read the "what is" on the home page for it, and it was the worst answer ever.

the FAQ.org "what is" is only marginally better

and you're right, it does sound like fight club a bit

"I see more and more people here every week, which tells me one thing, many of you are breaking the first rule to fight club"

the last thing you want for handheld/shoulder rig stuff is something lightweight. it's shaky enough, which is why i don't use it. unless i needed that handheld look.

Is that why you dress up like Iron Man for your shoots?
