What is the install costing you on this? I'd guess it's more than the panel itself.

I was on the fence between the E90 and E92. The CF roof was just about the reason why I chose the latter.

Here's hoping the F80 and F85/86 (GranCoupe) come with a carbon fiber roof.

I'm so curious as to what labor would cost to install one of these... I think I would learn to live without my sunroof haha. Excited to see the results! Keep us updated

E92 FTW lol

I never understood this either, guess the cost factor to do it won out over looks and functionality. I couldn't find it posted even though I know its somewhere but whats the weight difference between these two roofs in the E90???

Congratts SWEEEEEET MOD!!!! Carbon Roof FTMFW!
Darren Yooty AKA Booty AKA Creaminz did this to his kickin E90 335 Check out the sweet play by play action: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...weight+savings

Darren stated the following: My stock E90 roof weighs 24lbs without the sunroof. CF roof weighs at 9.8lbs. And if you factor in Sunroof...I'm guessing extra 20~30lbs weight savings or more.

Congrats, can't wait to see the results. And I've heard that going from a sunroof to CF roof will net a 40-50lbs savings since you remove the steel roof, sunroof, and motors.

This guy saved over 30lbs just by replacing the glass part of the roof with a CF sheet and ditching the motor.

Awesome! Can't wait to see this.

Thinking about getting gloss black for my roof but would love to do the CF roof on my E90 once I run out of other things to do
