That's the thing. They are hard to get kind It depends on their schedules and times. Since they are doing most likely for fun you need to ask them to find out. I am normally a lucky person but they were my jackpot on this journey. Beside the bearings such an amazing people!

I would like to conclude this project with the BlackStone test results. Oil is taken out right before the RB job and bottled after about 15 - 20 sec. And as I remembered I changed the oil when the odometer was 36k and the RB replaced when it was 39.5K

BE rod bearings/Arp bolts
Big thanks to Trevor (tdott) for replacing my rod bearings this past weekend. He is really talented and did a great job. The original bearings looked worn but not terrible (46k). I am definitely relieved and encourage everyone to take care of this repair as soon as possible. The car runs very smooth with new engine mounts and the engine is much quieter.

Hello All: I'm in South Florida and want to do a preventive rod bearing swap on my 08 M3. It has 116k on original bearings and figure it about time. I really would like to work on the car myself but, I don't feel comfortable doing it on my own.
Tdott, if you up for it, I would really appreciate your help with this. Just let me know what I need to do to make it happen. Thx |
