Text to speech in navigation?
I'm loving my new 09 E93 cab. The only small thing I wish it did as to use Text to Speech for the road names in the navigation guidance (since it can read Text to speech in other areas, even when asking you the address confirmation). I have the 2009 iDrive.
I've been used to Garmin and other GPS units saying "turn right on Highway 99 in 100m" rather than just "turn right in 100 m". I'd imagine this would be a simple software upgrade since the iDrive processor can obviously do TTS -- anyone know if this is coming, or how to get the request into BMW (as if they listen)? |
