AiB 4.0 (AngeliBright) vs. Alpine HID

So since I had the Alpine's sitting around as well and not thinking that the AiB were bright enough for me I decided to put them in to see the difference. Obviously as has been stated before, the Alpine are the brightest of ANY angel eye modification out there. Yes, there is the debate whether people think they are too bright. I think they look great and have now swapped the AiB out for them. We'll see how I like them in the long run.

The pics were taken both with and without a flash as well as with and without the lights on in my shop to give you an idea. Also, the camera distorts the actual clarity of the rings on the Alpines. In person they are very pronounced. Well...onto the pics:

In person I'm sure the Alpine look better than the photo however if they look like they do in the photo then it's too bright. From a distance people might think you have center high beams or something (which we all know E9x do not have center high beams)?

Part of the problem is the poorly designed rings in the E9x.

I'm torn between these two!!!!!! Idk which to choose. Does the brightness of the alpine overshadow its design?

I had alpine before lux and they are too bright. The inner circle is too washed out and it acts like a beam. You don't see the halo... I actually drove around without headlights and could see pretty far.

I don't like alpine HID's at all. the center ring becomes a blob and it isn't uniform. You should really try to find sometime to have your car down for a week or so and go OSS. The rings are extremely crisp and clear and very bright in day and night, but not overwhelming. They also look amazing on alpine white.

I do agree that the inner and outer rings do not match.

However I still say that I like them the best of all the angel eye mods out there (aside from possibly doing OSS or BavX).

It's still in the back of my head. As soon as I get one of my other vehicles back on the road, I will definitely be considering it.

This is where you need a DSLR Camera to take pictures. point and shoot camera's are so hard to take pictures of the angel eyes.

Yeah it's just a pain to take it out to do something simple like this but thanks for the note. I may grab it and see how the Alpine's show up with the better camera.
