Dyno: Turner Test Pipes, Macht Schnell Stg 2 Intake, ESS Tune
Got my car dyno'd the other day down at HG Motorsports in Sorrento Valley, it seems a little low, but I was told the Dyno Dynamics is the most accurate.
What do you guys think? Again this is with an ESS Tune, TTP's (OEM rear section) and a Macht Schnell Stg 2 Intake

I have heard on multiple forums that dyno dynamics read the lowest of any dyno. Just my two cents man, but don't worry about numbers. If the car feels like its running strong and your mods did make power for you then be happy that your getting your money's worth

Agreed, I'm not sure why it stopped at 7250. I'm guessing that's where it hit the peak

Yeah that's amazing...and you still have the stock mid-pipe.

Thinking a Vishnu PWM Methanol Kit is next on the list.

always remember it doesnt really matter what dyno you are on but more of a baseline run vs. the run with mods installed. dyno dynamics does read low but it looks that your gains are right where they should be. great stuff

The results feel impressive. I installed one recently. I need to get the car on a dyno to verify the feel. I had an x-pipe, pulley and filter for 6 months prior to that so any difference I feel is attributable to the tune and meth.
I don't like the "zip tie" style of installation of the meth kit and I don't like using the washer fluid reservoir for concentrations of meth/water over 50/50. You can install the pump and a tank in the trunk, but it is obviously a lot more work. I just did it. |

Something isn't right there, the S65 makes peak power past 8000 RPM's.

That's the same day same car run once in shootout mode, one in regular mode.
There are no 50whp gains. It's the identical curve. That's a tad weak for shootout mode, my car makes 433awhp peak and hotlapped 427 in shootout on that dyno fully bolted/tuned. |

Maybe because it stopped at 7,200 RPM ?

Thanks for sharing the data. I'm not sure how to interpret them.
On top of what everyone else mentioned, the axis of your graph are also different. This leads me to believe that your dyno operator could have done a better job. Something just doesn't seem right or as consistent.

Look at graph one, it says flywheel HP aka SHOOTOUT MODE
Look at graph two, the next say power and torque (REGULAR MODE) the curves are IDENTICAL. That's the same car (ess + ttp) run in two different ways. The tuned/exhaust car was dynoed in both manners one at 365, one at 310. Those are not before and afters. |

That is not a delta. One graph is showing WHP and the other one is showing Flywheel Power of I am assuming the same car.
Either the tacho ratio is well out or the dyno operator didn't hit the limiter. I am going to guess its the latter due to the way the power graph is still climbing so I would expect it would have shown more power had the car been dyno'd correctly. As previously mentioned the results don't mean anything unless you had a baseline done before the modifications so I wouldn't worry about the end figure. |

I would not bother trying to compare dyno dynamics to other dynos. Comparing different brands of dynos is usually an exercise in guessing. To see how similarly modded cars do on dyno dynamics, look at the dyno database under the dyno dynamics tab. Here is a link:
