After market repairs are well under that and you can rebuild/bulletproof it for $8,000. Not cheap, but you should look into the costs of replacing a DCT transmission in an M3 and then talk. ($13k+). There are small purchases that you can make to protect the tranny from failure that cost only a few hundred dollars which is awesome insurance. |

Nice review. M3s and GTRs are both great cars.
I am about to buy my third GTR because I love the performance and didn't have so much as a hiccup with my prior two(collectively driven over 30000 miles). I swore I wasn't going to buy the damn thing but I just like the car too much. On top of the fact that the car I pine for, 991 GT3, probably won't be available for two years.
