Mark, it has been discussed before in other places, so I'm not really adding anything new here, I've never bothered to bring it up out of respect for my friend, although a FEW people said I was afraid to run a Gintani car with my ESS kit, lmao. The fact is I did run a Gintani Stage 3 6MT, with my VT2-625 and yes I did pull on it, twice.
However the Gintani Stage 3 had a boost leak, so the video was never posted. I do think that a well running Stage 2 DCT car on race gas or Meth can hang with a 6MT Stage 3, that is running the V3 Vortech blower ~10-11psi, up to 120, then the Stage 3 will pull away, so it shouldn't be a big surprise. I'm looking forward to seeing Paul Walker's Stage 3 M3, we all should be, big things are happening for this platform, it's good to see.

No, I saw where the manifold lifted off one of the throttle bodies, but even with the boost leak, the car moved well.

Drew thanks for the reply. That's all
I was asking for. Just so I'm not missing anything though, the stage three did have a boost leak problem correct? IMG just stated that a stage 3 lost to a non built car and I just wanted clarification. Wasn't there an ESS car with a similar problem in where the manifold starting lifting or something? Just seems how some People are so quick to crap over another company's hard work with stating all the facts lol |

There's a lot of history here that you may not be privy too, people are entitled to their opinions of course, no doubt there's been a lot of conjecture, mis information going around over the years, mostly in other places. I have been a victim of it, but what some deem crapping on someone or something, others see as presenting reality, it's up to you to find out what's what and it certainly is not life or death, just cars, but I can understand how a company would take this more seriously. I personally do not want to get involved and wish those that work hard and play fair much success. I just wanted to clear this up before I get a text, lol. Yes my manifold lifted completely off 4 TB's at the last Shift-S3ctor Airstrip event, it can happen, especially on higher boosting cars, it happened because the TB boots on my car were pretty worn, the problem has since been rectified.

Fair enough man, I always try to be as fair as possible and it sounds like your a pretty reasonable guy, and obviously you know as you just stated, any car can have a number of issues that can affect performance as both a Gintani car as well as an ESS car experienced similar problems. Still looking forward to that day when we can get our cars next to each other if nothing else at least for a photo shoot because our cars look damn near the same except for the rims lol
