Powerchipped my car....

What an animal, absolutely love it. Havent driven too much with it, but its such a big improvement. Only problem now is, if u slam on the gas in first gear, its very hard to get traction, and if ud dsc is on, only thing ull c is the light on the whole time. Same thing if u shift to second. if ur crusing in 3rd and u step on it, omg, what a feeling. Feels like im driving anew car. Improves low end very much. This is how this car should have felt stock...

Will keep u guys updated as I drive with it more. BTW, if anyone is interested there is a somewhat local company that does the tune now. They r called lomotion and they r in poughkeepsie ny....

Awesome. That means I'll definitely feel a HUGE rush of power after I get my full catless exhaust system, pulley, air filter, and POWERCHIP tune.

Im going to Powerchip today to get their RPI Full Race Tune ... having had PC on my E55, CL65, 997TT, and M6 ... I have no doubts that this will not disappoint.

Congrats on your tune...

The number to lomotion is 845-471-5705.

The cost was 990. Worth every penny.
The guys there and the guys that actually do the tune (in cali) r great. I told them I have work at 3 and that i needed to do this first thing in the morning, so they did my tune at 930 which is cali time is 630. Their shop opens at 10 in cali. So u figure.

And the guys at lomotion r really great and helpful ppl. 2 hours for the whole p[rocess.

I will try to dyno my car sometime this week so I can get u guys the numbers.

That is not a custom tune is it? As I have been quoted at least 1400 for a custom tune.

Good lord, you'd think they gave you an extra 100 rwhp with those comments! 30 horses is 30 horses and on top 350 rwhp I can't see the car turning violent like that. I'm in the market for a tune, but I must say my expectation are not that high. Anybody know a tuner in Michigan?

Couldn't agree more, especially running catless.

Great info. Now I wonder if they will reflash me here if I get my DCT upgraded, even if I had RPI do it over in Cali...

Powerchip are great, only option for me down here in New Zealand, as they ship you the reflashing gear from Australia meaning no shipping your ECUs off to Europe or USA.

Great service - had DCT software upgrade applied last week, Powerchip shipped over reflashing gear for small charge (to cover shipping + I asked for a Stage II map that disables emissions CEL).

I think the throttle remapping Powerchip program in does improve how the car feels in terms of responsiveness - I really notice throttle response dampened down with the factory software back on. In fact initially with the new map I got the throttle map settings were too aggressive and the car was stalling, so Powerchip got me a new map within 30 minutes and everything worked fine.

Torque between 2500-3500RPM is definitely much increased with Powerchip - I immediately noticed the lull in torque with the stock factory map and remembered why everyone complains this engine doesn't produce enough torque. I certainly do believe Powerchip is good for the +20WHP they claim - I was on the dyno when I reflashed but unfortunately due to the throttle mapping/stalling issue I got kicked off the dyno for the next customer...

An ECU tune is one of the best mods for a car. I just got the tune for my Volvo 850 T5 and it is like a whole new car. It should have been like this from the factory.
