Rear right wheel bent outwards? (help!)
Alright so one day I'm walking by the E92 being parked normally and notice that the wheel is bent outwards, I didn't think much of it. Later I notice it again and decide to get my hands dirty and check it out.
Long behold, the right wheel is VERY noticeable bent outwards...the left is fine. This is worrying me that it'll lead to a problem down the road. Right now it doesn't affect driving what so ever and nobody notices is either. Can anybody help me on how to fix it or how this happened? I think my car is out of warranty too....(its an 09 with 18k miles) or is it?\ both pictures were taken at equal distance and at equal zoom. |

take your car in and have the camber checked to specification and adjusted. Do it soon or your tire will wear unevenly as you know. Good luck.

Looks fine to me if you adjust for the slightly different camara angle between the two. Look at the right pictures which is a tad more centered behind the wheel and the left which is just a bit more to the outside of the tire for the pic.
Looks about right to me. Lots of negative camber on our cars |

Why don't you take ONE picture OP of the rear of the car and show us? Don't understand the reasoning behind 2 shots. Also, make sure you post up pics of the 359's once you get 'em. |

look at the cases of water to the right of the bent wheel. They're upright but the tire is not. Going to take it in the BMW Northwest on Thursday and Friday. |

can you get an "angle" gauge like they use in carpentry(shaped like a large "L") and place it next to the wheels?
I have a big one (12 inches on one side and 36 on the other) and use it to check my camber for a rough estimate. Your floor has to be flat, so check it with a level. If it is off by 4 or 5 degrees, i would be concerned and get it to the dealer. Somethin' is bent! |

OP: PLEASE STOP CALLING IT "BENT!"
It's called negative camber, like other's have said. Like the "troll" said, go get an alignement. If they can't align to spec, then SOMETHING is bent. I click here expecting to see a bent wheel, but instead get negative camber. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

If you take the car to an alignment shop, you can post the measured specs here and I may be able to tell you whether something is physically wrong or if you just needed an alignment.
The camber adjusters on the rear suspension use an eccentric bolt as seen here: The spring support arm is used to adjust camber (part number 4 in that diagram). The eccentric bolt on the inside is rotated about it's axis to space the arm further in or out depending on if less or more camber is needed. It's not unheard of for the eccentric bolt to slip in it's place from hitting a hard bump and lose it's camber setting.
