Hmmm
- on the replay at 22 sec you can see another person walking off the street that the Infiniti stopped for. This tells me that there was likely a walk sign that typically lasts long enough for that person to make it across the intersection. You can infer that the person with the dog may not have been paying attention to the "Do not Walk" sign.
- cars these days have big A pillars and they seem to get bigger and bigger. pedestrians always seem to hide behind that A pillar.
- more reason to get a dash cam... with a dash cam the Infiniti driver could show there is a do not walk and would be not at fault

Sorry for the zooming and editing..
Check out the raw video
Pay attention the blinking pedestrian walking counting on the right of the video.
It was still blinking and counting down, so the pedestrian should have the right to cross

Doesnt the blinking mean do not start crossing anymore? You know, like a yellow light?

Lol! We don't even have that blinking thing here, but we live by the rule try not to get killed/ get your pets killed. I've trained mine to follow me on my side while in traffic. Seeing a dog over the hood is hard for the drivers and I hate telling the kids I've killed their pets.

I don't buy the A-pillar excuse although the driver may have started to turn before she started to cross the street. I see the driver stopped. Did he / she pull over to see if the lady / dog were ok or take off?

Lol, basically the same.

I'm sorry that happened, but pedestrians also should use their eyes. Sometimes shit just happens.
