Found a good spot for the owner's manual

So, the delivery specialist at the Welt was trying to put the owner's manual in the glove box of my new E90M3 and it wouldn't fit well. I took it and started looking around the car while he was talking to my wife and friend.

Hmmm, what about the trunk pass through? Yep, fits in the bin part of the pass through perfectly (I don't have the ski bag).

BTW: I actually read it!

That is where mine is as well. I hope you have a great trip. The wait will be painful.

Will be? It already is painful!

Ship is in Southampton, England and will be at Port Hueneme 9/21. Hopefully it gets out of the port and VPC in a timely fashion. Dealer is in Glendale, so it should be a quick shipment to get it there.

I need to get the 1200 mile service done too as I hit 1267 miles before drop off.

I'm going to have to try that. I've been looking for a spot for the damn thing other than sliding around in the back seat. Thanks for the tip.

I didn't think you could drop off in the UK any longer. I got my car back in about five weeks but it seemed like a lot longer.

I assume you are working on a full trip report with tons of pictures?

Mine is on a PDF file on the iPhone (you can download the PDF from BMW website free). More practical that way.

The manual fits in the right side storage bin in the trunk. The fit is too perfect for this to be coincidence.

Looks like a logical spot almost like the manual meant to be there. I am wondering if that is not the spot where it was in the first place only that we are not told that is where it should be stored. As I recall every BMW I purchased I was given the keys and the manual at the time of the sale.

Anyway thanks for the heads up the glove box is to small for the manual

Actually, FWIW, the manual fits great in the glove box. You just have to take it out of that ridiculous leather sheath first.

Mines right there too. Now, any idea's of where to put a medium size mag-light? I made a velcro strap thing to hold it to the carpeted trunk wall, but honestly it looks lame. Had it under the pop up where the compressor is in the truck but it sounded like I had rocks in the diff......

I've tried downloading the 2011 E90 manual from the BMW site but it gives me the coupe and convertible manual (even though the file name says it's for the sedan). Does anyone have the sedan manual in PDF?

^ That's where the First Aid kit is stored. I kept mine from the ED. My manual is in the trunk, under the the trunk floor. It fits just fine there, isn't thick enough so the floor sits flush. (I don't have an iphone...yet)

Likewise, the first aid kit can also be stored in the pass through. So it's your pick really.

I put mine under the trunk cover thing (where the spare tire would be). There are little compartments where I can actually fit that and some other stuff nicely.
