Dealer don't want to replace my brake pad because I have NONE OEM PAD on.

I went to the dealer today to get my Brake pad replaced. Car has 19K miles on it and I switched OEM pad to ST street after I destroyed OEM pad on the first track day. Never asked them to change my pad before, and now my computer count down is showing it needed to be replaced(I disabled my pad sensor but countdown is working.). The SA didn't want do it because I have ST pad on not OEM.(ST pad wear out too.) I explained to them my OEM pad wear out and I replaced them with ST pad, SA said he need to call BMW and ask. Anyone who has aftermarket pad on, what your dealer telling you?

This is a no brainer.......get yourself some old worn factory pads and put them on. You can't win this fight.......Phil

Once they make a note on your file associated with your VIN, they won't touch that particular part anymore. You are on your own. Same thing as my air filter, but I offered to tell them leave the filter alone so I deal with it myself.

haha, Really? They won't change your non-oem pads? C'mon dude

On a serious note, I think there is a way out of this one. Purchase a set of OEM pads, and pretend you put them in. Take a photo copy of the receipt and return the pads. Reset the pad senson, and in about 20,000miles, put back your destroyed OEM pads.

Good luck.

Hum. I will get some pads then. For street only I prefer OEM pad than ST, OEM actually feel better when its freezing outside. Hope my rotor below 28.4MM, give me another reason to go for BBK.

May as well change them yourself if you're willing to put the old pads back on.
