What gets to you?

* Lines that take longer than it needs to. Lines bother me in general, but the ones where someone asks 2 million fucking questions or somehow significantly slows down the flow gets to me.

* When people can't give me a direct answer when needed... Granted, I'm a verbose person, but when I ask a yes/no question, I don't need a full set of variables. If I call my bank asking about a weird charge, just tell me it's a "3rd party ATM fee", not your policies and procedures and why it's charged!

* When people don't assimilate into the culture of the land; especially after dating one for 9 months, I went from it being a tolerable annoyance to where I just can't stand FOBs anymore. I understand that ____ does things this way or you're accustomed to doing things that way over there, but if I were to go to ____ I'd make SOME effort to blend in... If your country is so great, then why are you here? If something is legal there and a felony here, do you think that's a "get out of jail free card"?

OH MAN... I just stopped dealing with a friend/client for graphic design because the guy is almost always 1/2 - 1 hour late to EVERYTHING, and JUST LAST WEEK I had my last straw! The worst thing just happened last week: If YOU call ME at 3PM to meet up in order to help YOU with a favor, don't give me "some time today" and tell me to "standby and come out when I call"; do you honestly think I have nothing better to do than to wait at home all day when I have tons of errands and even have a friend with me to help me with said errands? It's even worse when I ask you SIX TIMES for a ballpark time! Oh, and when you DO call me at 7PM, don't show up at 8:30PM and wonder why I left! I think I spent about 36 hours last year waiting for him.

I've noticed these eating habits at my school. In some cultures, smacking lips, slurping, talking with mouth full is a signal that the food is good, however it drives me nuts. Just the idea that they do it intentionally is bizarre.

The slurping is so exaggerated when eating noodle soup and drinking. The lip smacking can be so loud, it's like they are putting in an extra effort to let people know they are eating something.

Playing off the notion that many of you hate lines...I specifically hate places that have the "McDonalds" model of line forming opposed to the "Burger King" model. I shouldnt have to guess which cashier/teller will open first and pick my line accordingly. There should be a single line in which the person who arrived first gets the first available service.

I do all my grocery shopping on Sunday morning when everyone else is in church. I make sure to finish my shopping around 12:01, because I think it's technically against the law to purchase alcohol before that time on Sunday's. Cart filled with goodies and I still go through the express checkout lane, muwwuwwhahahahahaha.



Anywho, what really grinds my gears are the people who pull out in front of me and go 15 mph, when I am clearly already going 45+ and in plain sight with no cars behind me.

Even then the BK model is still more efficient and should be implemented, because the worst times are when you see a short line, but that person either has a ton of groceries or some old lady is paying part of the bill with quarters.

No...., what get's me even WORSE than this...., when there is a sign inexplicably stating "LANE ENDS IN 1 MILE"....,


And then some fucker thinks it's a legit idea to fly down said lane, UNTIL IT ENDS, then forces himself in front of everyone.


When I see this, I've usually blocked that lane, with my car. Some twats will drive on the shoulder and go around, other people take the hint and get stuck, and then some people threaten me and flick me the bird and other things that get me aroused.

LOL seriously - hate those jerks. I remember one time, sitting in traffic in the right lane and we slowly move come to a merge lane. Well, all these clowns behind me suddenly signal right to get into the merge lane so they can fly on by and expect to be let in at the end.

Irks me, but that was ok that one time because the guy in front of me in a pickup got tired of the clowns doing this and moved his pickup into the merge lane and proceeded to drive exactly at the pace everyone else was moving at, preventing any more clownish behavior. And I saw what he was doing, so I didn't pass him, just hung a few meters back, close enough so no one could get in between us. Then when the merge lane ended I let him back in front - both waved to each other.

Most of the time these idiots do it with impunity though, while the rest of us patiently obey and exhibit the expected courtesy to others.

I used to be against it, but I have trouble sleeping past 8 regardless of the day, and Sunday morning seems to be the most desolate time to hit the store.


If I'm scouting for young ladies to ask where the melons are, I'll go to the grocery store later in the day during the week.

It gets to me when I'm in the left turn lane and the green turn arrow comes on and the car in front of me might have a 2 second delayed response, but the cluster fuk behind me lays on the horn and then the car in front of me thinks I honked the shyt outta of him. Then we're just all mad at each other for the wrong reasons.
