Give Me Reasons Why E90 Over F80

What's up guys. I'm considering replacing my E350 Bluetec with another sedan. I was thinking F80 M3 but have not driven one yet. I've heard the steering is better in E90. Is this true and is it night and day.

I plan to drive both but figured I'd get your feedback since I could also save like $30-$35k by going E90.

My other cars are Lex GX460 and a Huracan.

The S65 4.0 V8 in the E9X M3 is a masterpiece. The power plant in the F80 is not.

I just got done driving one as a demo. Hated it. As soon as I got back into my m3 it was night and day. So much more refined and focused. Everything felt tight and ready to go, despite having 50k more miles. If someone gave me the new 4 series I would trade it in. Dead serious

I'll sell you my e90. It is pristine and less than 21k miles on it

What exactly is an F80 535? Wasn't aware they offered M3 chassis 535s.

E90 M3- steering is significantly more feelsome and direct; engine note is far more inspiring; power delivery is more linear. I also prefer E90 interior and exterior (sedan). It is an altogether more cohesive package.

For $75K, I'd get the E90 M + new Miata or used Elise (working on the latter)

Cheers

If you want a new car with a new car warranty, that is pretty fast right out of the box. Get a F80.

If you want something that is truly special and has decent performance get the E90.

I think the 4.0L engine out of the E90 is one of the best "affordable" engines to come out of the auto industry in the last 10 years. I am already planning on buying another one.

I've been toying around with the idea of getting a second E9X - primarily a coupe.

Looking to stay $65k or less. Hellcat and Z/28 also on list as they will offer a different experience from Huracan.

Or E90 M and an old 60's Stang or Camaro for $30k to tinker with.

Let me say this. My fiancé and I test drove a TON of cars before buying the M3, including the M4. A few weeks ago, I brought up asking if she remembers how the M4 sounds, and she says she never heard it. I said what?? You drove it! She still has no memory driving the car. She remembers the entire day, with the exception of the M4. She still insists that the car we drove was a regular 4 series. It was that unmemorable.
Also, putting the car into sport mode makes the speaker exhaust sound way too obvious, as if you just cranked up the volume. The whole car does not feel like one solid sports car, but a lesser car with a bunch of bolt on parts. Therefore, not a special car.
It IS a better DD in my opinion. New idrive is nice, speakers are good, nice ride, and great seats. I love the seats. But for a car to have fun in and feel special? E90 hands down. There is nothing that's sporty related that I prefer on the F80. You already have a Huracan so maybe that will satisfy your sporty needs. F80 looks amazing, and you can get one with a carbon roof. If I were in your shoes, I would keep the Huracan as my bad ass toy, and get the F80, stick, carbon cloth seats. It may not be the most fun to drive, but it sure looks great.

Because for about $25k-$30k less than the F80, you can build an E90 and do this:

Everyone should own a S65 once in their life......then you can own anything else you want afterwards.

Cheers,

Because you can't get the F80 in manual.
