Alarm Clocks

So I set the time for 6:20AM today for the IPO of NPD, but I never woke up.

That mistake alone cost me thousands and now I need an alarm clock that can wake up my neighbors.

Any suggestions?

I have one that is a 7 day alarm clock.. You can set a diffrent time each day.. really helps out when I have classes some days at 9:30 and others at 10:30.. I always have been able to get used to alarm clocks and sleep with them blasting but not this one.. Turn it up all the way and put it on radio so you dont get used to the tone and it BLASTS in the morning sometimes I jump up in a panic. I have it about 10 feet away form my bed btw..

set your cell phones alarm clock, put it on vibrate and put the phone on a hard surface. the loud vibrating is bound to wake you up.

In the past, when extraordinarily sleep deprived, I would set 2-3 alarm clocks, when I absolutely didn't want to miss something important.

always put it far from your bed so that you have to wake up walk and switch it off. before i have an alarm clock right next to me and it turned out to be a habit that i just stretch my hand and just switch it off.

Put it on the other end of the room

Have mine about 10ft from my bed.
I turn the volume all the way up and set it just off a latino channel to where there is spanish with a bunch of random loud static.
Works every time, and annoys the hell out of me.

yeah. i get up, turn it off, and find myself jumping back in bed. but then i think: oye. im sober. and thats a problem. so the idea of knowing that i can be high when im not, forces me to get up and roll a joint. works great for me

There's an alarm clock that, when it goes off, will move about the room. Then the sleeper has to get out of bed, find the damned thing, and shut it off. Of course, the sleeper can then go back to bed.

I set 3 alarms every day. Alarm clock, Cell Phone, and iPod in a sounddock. Yes, I have slept through them, too. I'm awesome.

my clock is set 20 minutes forward.....

so i will have 20 minutes extra to sleep in or get to work on time.

plus....i have a 9volt battery as back-up in case of a black out.

btw -- i always snooooozed(10 mins.) twice before waking up.

There's only one problem with setting the clock ahead like that. You know when the alarm goes off that you CAN snooze. What you need is for someone to set it to an arbitrary amount of time ahead and not tell you and position it so you don't see the face/numbers as you go to bed (you'd soon realize how much forward it really is). Then when it does go off you don't really know whether you have zero, ten, twenty, or something in between, extra minutes of slumber.
