If you feed Orijin (super high quality food) which we do...you must realize that it contains a high % of protein as well as high calories. Just be aware that you must be careful not to overfeed your dog as they will love this food and will act as if they are starving. Your dog may put on extra weight due to the high calories and great taste. Its the owners responsibility to limit intake.

Going off topic, but I feed my dog Wellness Core, which from all the ratings I've seen is well-regarded. However, my dog does get pretty gassy at nights. Is Taste of the Wild known to reduce this problem?

Lol! Our girl met a younger pit bull last weekend. It had no idea what to do giving up 50 lbs ish to her. Was funny to watch the pit bull try to push her around and her looking at him like "wtf are you doing?".

Not only is can it lead to obesity, some dogs can't handle the extremely high protein content. Ours was extremely gassy and her bowel movements were soft. We switched to Acana, same company as Orijin, but it has a lower protein content and but is still excellent for their health.

For those mentioning salmon, be aware that some dogs have allergies just like humans. Ironically, ours can eat salmon but can't eat the 6 Fish flavor of Orijen. She swelled up so bad she looked more like a sharpei....lol. Like humans, benadryl was the solution until the vet could give her an injection the next day.

Yeah, I would have to agree.

Person had serious diabetes. The toes were probably falling off his foot as it was. The dog was trying to help its owner. In return, it is now living in a shelter. Not only is the owner fat and toeless, he/she is also a piece of shit.

Personally, I'd like to own a dog that eats obese people. I think its a plus.

I brought my puppy home yesterday!

He was really shy at first and spent most of his time hiding under the furniture, but this morning he seems a lot more comfortable and curious/ playful.

How long should I wait to take him to the dog park/ meet my families dogs?
