Advice on upgrading stock speakers and adding subwoofer

Just purchased 2010 M3 coupe local in San Diego. Have the Nav and premium sound. 4" speakers front and rear. What are options to upgrade stock speakers and add a Subwoofer. Want to maintain same speaker sizes. Not to sure if this car has subwoofers under the seats.

Premium Sound includes subwoofers under both front seats. As for upgrades, others more qualified than I can recommend particular hardware and possibly installers in your area, but fyi speaker upgrades might be all you can do easily, not sure about additions. If you end up wanting to switch amps (I know, upgrade plans NEVER suffer scope creep ), Premium Sound uses MOST, a fiber optic signal, to get data from the head unit to the OEM amp, and few if any aftermarket amps will work with that, but the car can be coded back to traditional analog output that much more aftermarket equipment can work with (and what the base stereos use anyway). You'd just need to find an installer who knows how to do that or get that done separately.

bsw makes high quality speakers that fit in the original enclosures.bmw has enclosures that are hard to just swap new speakers into,so i was glad to find a system made specifically for the car.

i got them for my base hifi system, and it's a nice improvement.i wanted to stay close to oem.others have said the speakers in your system are of higher quality than the hifi ones (which they obviously should be for $1900. extra),so i'm not sure if the improvement would be as noticeable.
