almost reminds me of that indy crash here in toronto a few years back where the car went airborne into the stands

Actually it seemed to handle the crash quite well and no one was killed.

They are missing a proper catch fence in the impact zone.I am quite surprised at that!

That fence is definitely more of an illusion of safety than a real safety device!

That second Mini understeered right off the track! Lesson learned- don't drive FWD.
