Boot Lids ... who's is best for downforce?

Are there any hard numbers on how much they add and when?

Debating between the GTS rear wing (or similar) and the Challenge / Vorsteiner CSL boot lids.

I am going with the GTS front splitter and want something that will add enough rear downforce to maintain the cars stability.

Here's my car. She'll downforce your butt right into the track pavement

Why are you concerned with downforce stats?

Noting that a wing produces downforce while a bootlid spoiler reduces lift.
A wing will be more efficient but it will need to be carefully matched with front end modifications.

Since I was thinking of doing a CF trunk, wondered if it makes the most sense to have the integrated lip.

I have seen AutoCouture's Frozen Gray car the setup you mentioned. Looks good.

This is why i want to go OEM since BMW has done all the math .. the front splitter and rear wing are balanced.

Definitely go with the wing! It will provide far superior performance to a trunk.

I saw that. Wish I was ready to buy now, currently just researching the best avenue to take. Though the OEM setup is very appealing. I was looking at the RKP setup offered by IND.

I am looking to add the ESS 650 kit to the car with plans to take it to the 750+ area. So with all the added power I wanted to make sure it stay planted and instead of just removing lift, actually start pushing it back down.

There will also be bbk, suspension, wheels, etc. to assist in stability.

Nice, do you plan to track the car a lot? That probably the only place you'll get the benefit of a proper boot lid or new wing. Unless you're constantly doing 100+ on the street. If you live in an area you can do that, very cool

I hope to run her at the track a few times a year. She wont be a track rat, but def. will attend.

Looking to hit Road Atlanta this fall, she is stock, so should be fun.
