Yes boys, I also share the pain of waiting for that illusive cargo boat... Mine is somewhere between Panama and Auckland right now. ETA Brisbane 25 Oct (not that we're counting!). Let's hope the days and weeks fly....

I dont have the time to try.
Not to mention no car to get there easily...

I do know roughly where it will be.
The dealer is saying that it may take two weeks to reach them after it reaches the docks.

Good links to know Immy... I'll be using that webcam link when my ship the Otello... is at the docks.... which should be 2/11... and another 7 days before it hits Brisbane docks... and then 14 or so days before it hits the dealership.... yes yes yes....

I am waiting for my car's shipping info to update. The ship leaves Melb at 06:00.
Edit: The shipping company is playing games. Now the ship is staying an extra 6 hours in Melb. Still no update to the car status. I wonder if they cant get the big door on the back to open.

Obsessed = no. Going nuts with no car = yes.
Annoyed at how long it takes to get a car here and processed = yes.

A ship every 15 days, and rather coincidentally it takes 14 days to process a car.

ANMM..... lucky you... I have to wait a whole 18 more days before it hits Brisbane port.... and then the 14 stuck for pre-delivery!

Will be interesting to see how long that actually takes ANMM...

Otherwise... Immy and ANMM.... some time for a little more obsession!

It shouldn't take 14 days to deliver. If you have contacts at your dealership they can hurry up the clearance thru BMW and PD doesn't take two weeks. I had my car in three days. It was cleared the day it arrived and had it two days later.
What you don't realize is the dealer normally clears, pd's and then puts on the showroom floor for a few days before giving it to the customer. Don't let them do it. Make sure you get your car, it's not there for them to make another sale. Be firm.
