Any of you guys ride/race motorcycles AND cars at the racetrack?

I'm an expert level club racer (motorcycles), but I've never been to the track in my car. Any of you guys out there do both and can share the differences between track riding/racing motorcycles and tracking your car?

I'm kinda intrigued with taking my car to the track, but don't want to mess it up.

What is the likelihood of crashing a car on the track?

Is it as much/more fun in a car as it is on a motorcycle?

Curious to hear thoughts from people that have done it in cars and bikes.

All I can offer is that the consensus in professional racing at least is that everything on bikes happens a lot more quickly, professional moto gp racers have to have some of the quickest reaction times, but this is not to say those of other racers are slow. In a car, you're gonna have a lot more grip obviously, and this can make it easier to get away with mistakes I'd imagine would bite you in the ass on a motorcycle. Are you looking to do track days or club racing?

Cars are slower and more forgiving, but equally as fun. Oh and you'll have an instructor with you for the first few laps at least. That will be different for sure!

I have done both and I can tell you the shit that happens in a car is nothing compared to a bike. I was instantly comfortable switching to a car because none of the twitching or sliding bothered me in the least. I was also faster quicker on account of it. You will be fine!

Been on the track once with my bike (Daytona 675) and twice in my car (135i) and can say that both are great, but nothing compares to being on the track on the bike. Being in the car gives you the extra sense of security that you may want however.

Tracking a car compared to a bike, is like siting on a couch with a beer in one hand and xbox controller in another.

Not only is it so much easier, but you feel so much safer and lazier compared to a bike. And its also a lot of fun.
